Why should I start therapy now?

You’re at a point in life wondering why patterns keep repeating. You feel ready to invest in your present using effective trauma techniques. You’re feeling ready to sit with your history, to share your story, to learn new coping skills to last you a life time. It’s time to put an end to letting your past control you and be in the present.

Rates for Self-pay or Out of Network

  • $185 per session
  • $200 intake

Extended Sessions Rates

  • 75 min: $225
  • 90 min: $275
  • 2 hours: $350
  • 2.5 hours: $450
  • 3 hours: $500

Insurance

I accept Aetna, Optum, United Health Care, Connecticare only. Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. If you have Cigna or Anthem insurances, you can use your out of network benefits; clients who use out of network benefits will be provided with a super bill for reimbursement from their insurance. Please contact your provider to verify how your plan compensates you for psychotherapy services in person or for out of network.

I’d recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Payment

I accept  all major credit cards and HSA/FSA as forms of payment.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please make sure you cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, you may be charged for the full rate of the session.

Any Other Questions

Please contact me for any additional questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!

Appointments?

Appointments are easy to make. When you are ready, call 860-281-1405 or send me an email via my website. Let’s connect; let me help you help yourself.

First Session

Feelings of anxiety and fear are common before your first psychotherapy session. This is the day you will tell me your story as much or as little as you want and you can be as general or as specific as you want; it is your story, your session so you are in charge.

Confidentiality

Therapy is a scared space where you will be sharing your life experiences, trauma(s), successes, griefs and triumphs. Only in specific issues surrounding mandated reporting, issues surrounding a court mandate (legal mandate by a judge) of release, and issues of a risk to you or others where limited information about you will be shared.
